For the Hypnotize Festival, Ateliers Coco designed Hypnotize Zine, a limited-edition mini-publication created to accompany festival-goers in Lyon and Bordeaux. This fanzine, in collaboration with 33 Carats, combines art direction and graphic design to deliver an immersive and enriching experience that stays true to the festival's world.
The design is based on a reinterpretation of the existing graphic charter, emphasizing the colorful and experimental aspect. The layouts play with imagery, gradient backgrounds, and typography, giving the magazine a dynamic and lively feel. Each page is designed to be both a collector's item and an immersive medium, translating the festival's energy into a tangible and memorable format.
Result & impact
Thanks to this micro-edition, Hypnotize Zine becomes a unique item, celebrating the first major rap festival in Lyon and Bordeaux. The immersive and experimental design reinforces the festival's visual identity while offering festival-goers a unique graphic and tactile experience. This project illustrates how tailor-made art direction and carefully considered publishing allow an event to leave a lasting impression on its audience and assert its creative identity.
