Paris Unfiltered: an iconic immersion between hip-hop and photography
Artistic Direction
& Design
For this project, Ateliers Coco's mission was to graphically represent the social and artistic experiment led by 33 Carats, with the support of Polaroid. Over three months, four talents documented their daily lives through the lens of Polaroid cameras, capturing raw and authentic moments.
Our studio has created an immersive editorial aesthetic, oscillating between a personal diary and impactful visual storytelling. Inspired by hip-hop music magazines from the 2000s, the design blends striking typography, dynamic compositions, and retro textures. As a nod to the brand's heritage, this edition also incorporates references to vintage Polaroid advertisements, reinforcing the nostalgic aura of this iconic collaboration.
Result & impact
More than just a medium, this edition becomes a unique collector's item, capturing the essence of the meeting between music and photography. Thanks to its inspired design and immersive approach, the tabloid enhances the experience of the artists and offers the reader a unique visual immersion.
This creation not only reinforces Polaroid's image in the cultural and artistic world but also extends the project's reach beyond the instantaneous, giving it a timeless and memorable dimension.
