33 Carats - an evolving identity for a hybrid magazine
Art Direction
& Design
For 33 Carats, Ateliers Coco designed a hybrid visual identity, somewhere between the audacity of a fanzine and the demands of a fine book. 33 Carats, 33 issues, 33 facets. Each issue reveals a unique DA, its own "graphic facet", driven by a thematic moodboard, while anchored in distinctive visual markers: two-color process, iconographic collage and maximalism. A subtle balance between nostalgia and modernity, shaping a strong, instantly recognizable visual signature.
Result & impact
Thanks to this innovative approach, 33 Carats has established itself as a benchmark in the world of independent magazines. Its evolving identity reinforces its professional image while preserving its experimental DNA. Each issue becomes a collector's item, affirming the magazine as a source of inspiration for the creative press.
